Stroke of Midnight

One night. New Year’s Eve in Miami. Even workaholic Alana Hernandez can’t resist the call of the city, especially if it will get her little sister off her back. But a night of celebrating turns into a night of mischief when an alluring stranger catches her eye across the dance floor.

No names.
Former Navy Seal Cole Roberts isn’t looking for anything more than a good time in Miami. Since leaving the military and being betrayed by his former fiancée, he’s not interested in unnecessary complications. But the moment he sets eyes on the sultry beauty, Cole knows this night will be far from ordinary.

No going back.
Neither Cole nor Alana are looking for a relationship, so they strike a deal: One night. No names. No repeats. But things get complicated when their night of passion becomes something neither can walk away from.

Before either of them spoke, the music stopped, the clumps of dancing bodies stilled, the countdown began, and the crowd at the bar started chanting, “Ten!”

“Hi.” She smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear.

He leaned in so that his mouth was close to her ear. “Do you know how much trouble you’re about to get into?” The timbre of his voice made her drunker than tequila.

She smirked at him as if his nearness didn’t steal a good deal of her confidence. “No more than I can handle.”

She leaned back and met his silver eyes—eyes that danced with mischief and were almost too pretty to belong to a man. His gaze was assessing, and it made her nervous at the same time as it made her nerve endings sing.

He laughed. It was a deep laugh—almost a growl—that she could feel in her chest. His laugh made her wet. She shifted from foot to foot to ease the ache that his whisky-rough chuckle put between her legs. Ridiculous chemistry.

Then he put his hands on her bare upper arms and pulled her closer to him. Blood rushed to where he touched her and her pulse sped up. Her mouth went so dry she wasn’t sure she could speak.

“Excuse me.” A harried busboy squeezed behind her.

“Name?” he said.

She looked up at him from under her lashes. “Do you also want my rank and serial number?” A muscle in his jaw twitched at her playful tone.

“Just your name will do for now.”

“I don’t think we should do names.” She had not expected that to slip out of her mouth. This was really naughty. The electricity she’d felt when he looked at her from across the room was nothing compared to what she felt when he actually touched her. It made her want to throw off the mantle of good daughter and clean-up crew. She wanted to be anything he wanted her to be. Just for the night.

“All right, darlin’, we’ll do it your way.”

Taking Cassia’s hand, Quinton guided her to the locker room, then through it to one of the private Jacuzzis. It sat flush with the floor and had tiled steps down into the shallow tub. He adjusted a few knobs, and the bubbling water came to life. He turned to her. “After what happened earlier, I’ll completely understand if you prefer to do something else. I just want to make you feel good. So, no blindfolds and no darkness, just pleasure. Do you feel up to that?”
“I think that sounds incredible,” she said. “I love hot tubs.”
Brave woman, once again. “Well, all right, then. Go ahead and get in. I need to make one further arrangement.” When she slipped into the water, he stepped out of the room and called the club’s food service to order a tray of refreshments for them to share. “How’s the water?” he asked when he returned.
“Ah-mazing,” she said, submerged almost to her chin with her head resting against the curved tile.
“Good.” He unbuttoned his jeans and shoved them down over his hips.
Cassia’s mouth dropped open.
Quinton grinned, and tugged the denim all the way off until he stood before her naked as the day he came into this crazy world. “Damn, girl, you know how to make a man feel ten feet tall.”
Her lips snapped shut. “I, uh…”
“Don’t pick up your jaw on my account. I mean…” He waded into the water.
She rolled her eyes. “My jaw did not drop.”
“Oh, Cassia. Did you just roll your eyes at me, little one?” He moved until he stood right in front of her. The water bubbled just below his hips, leaving his half-erect cock exposed and nearly at her eye level.
A fast shake of her head as her eyes went wide.
“No? You didn’t just roll your eyes at me?” He donned a well-practiced stern expression and affected an ice-cold stare, even though Quinton was totally enjoying himself. “Because I know I was quite clear on what the consequences would be if you did.”
“I’m sorry, Sir,” she said, holding up her hands. “I won’t do it again.”
“Sit on the edge of the tub, Cassia.”
Slowly, she complied. And he enjoyed every goddamned second of the water sluicing off her body. Over her breasts, her nipples, the curve of her belly. Lower…
“Feet up on the edge next to you. Legs open.” He arched a brow.
Releasing a shaky breath, she got into position, and fuck if she wasn’t a vision. Pussy open to his view. Rivulets of water running over her skin. A flush in her face and anticipation in her eyes.
“Wider,” he said.
She let her knees fall to the sides.
“Just like that.” Without another word, he sank in the water to his knees right between her thighs and cupped her ass in his hands. “Now, don’t move a muscle.”

Devonshire, England, 1820 Determined to avoid the strife-filled marriage of his parents, Marcus, the Duke of Ulvercombe, wants an amenable, biddable wife, and has set his cap for a certain pretty miss. Even if Marcus abandons his sweet ideal and surrenders to his growing desire for Clara, there’s one unalterable issue which could destroy their hopes forever… goodreads-badge-add-38px

Elizabeth Keysian felt destined to write historical romance due to her Cornish descent, and an ancestral connection to the Norse god Odin. Being an only child gave her plenty of time to read, create imaginary worlds, produce her own comics, and write sketches and a deplorably bad musical for an amateur dramatics group. Three decades spent working in museums and archaeology fired Elizabeth’s urge to write, as did living on a Knights Templar estate, with a garage full of skeletons, a resident ghost and a moat teeming with newts. Elizabeth lives near Bath in England with her partner and cats. Website | Facebook | Twitter | Goodreads | Newsletter | Amazon Author Profile

She’s in love with her father’s best friend…

Kate Crawford’s always had a scorching attraction to her father’s best friend, sexy hotelier Graham Davenport. Now she’s going to study in Europe, but she wants to realize her secret wish and lose her virginity to Graham. After all, she’s not a teenager anymore and ready for some Adult X-rated fun.

Graham Davenport hires Kate as his trainee in his luxury hotel as a favor to her father, but seeing her flaunt her hot body is driving him insane and he’s about to lose his self-control. He doesn’t want to betray the man who helped him turn around his life, but this woman is no longer a teenager with a crush. And her desire unleashes secret passions and fantasies that neither of them can deny…

1. Tell us a bit about yourself.
Hi! I’m Carmen. I’m a mom, wife, daughter and a friend. I’m also an avid romance reader. I’m addicted to dogs—I have three crazy pugs. I love going to the movies, power walking, traveling, meeting friends for lunch. I skydive once a year. Okay, that was a lie. I said that so my life would sound more exciting. LOL.

2. What inspired you to write your first book?
I was a teenager and that book will never see the light of day, LOL. But I think what made me want to write then is the same reason that makes me want to write now—simply because I can’t imagine myself not doing it.

3. Describe your main character in five words.
Kate Crawford is determined, smart, flirty, fun, relatable.

4. Have you ever done anything strange or weird in the name of research?
All the time. I write romantic suspense as well, so sometimes I have to watch out for what I have on my DVR list if we have sitters over!

5. How long does it take you to write a book?
It depends. Every book is different, and I’m never really just writing a book. I’m also promoting other books, emailing editors, revising another project. Oh, and Facebook. I love Facebook. But I’d say the first draft of a category length book takes between four and six weeks.

6. Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Of course. I’m editing Forbidden Inmate, a book about a male prison counselor who gets involved with an inmate in a women’s prison. Think an erotic Orange is the New Black. It’s actually available for pre-order on Amazon.

7. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
It sounds cheesy, but thanks for supporting me in my journey. I really appreciate the feedback, the reviews, and the friendship. It feels great to know I’m not alone.

Random Questions:

What’s in your fridge right now?
A bunch of fruit, organic meat and yummy ice cream.

What song do you sing at the top of your voice every time you hear it?
I love music but I generally listen to whatever’s on the radio. I like pop, jazz, some rock, oldies. I’ve been known to sing to a lot of Taylor Swift songs especially while driving (don’t judge).

Where did you last go on holiday?
I visited my family in Brazil. That’s where I go every summer.

If feral aliens attacked your house and they were zapping your home with their Über super bombs, what five items would you save?
My laptop, my passport, my camera, family albums and a keepsake box with my children’s stuff. (I’m assuming my hubby, kids and dogs would be waiting for me outside).

 Available on Amazon

Carmen Falcone learned at an early age that fantasizing about fictional characters beat doing math homework any day. Brazilian by birth and traveler by nature, she moved to Central Texas after college and met her broody Swiss husband--living proof that opposites attract. She found in writing her deepest passion and the best excuse to avoid the healthy lifestyle everyone keeps talking about. When she's not lost in the world of romance, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, being walked by her three crazy pugs, reading, catching up with friends, and chatting with random people in the checkout line.

She loves to procrastinate, so please indulge her and drop her a line. For more info, visit her website: http://www.carmenfalcone.com
