Q & A with Lucy Belle about Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance!

Tell us about Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance
Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance is a novella introducing three couples Brody Stevenson-Michaela(Micki)Horton, Jake Callahan-Jaden Kingsley & Trevor Winters-Rayna Baxter. Brody, Jake & Trevor plan a night to remember for Michaela, Jaden and Rayna. But each is harboring a secret from 3 months ago.

What initially inspired you to write Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance
I started writing Brody and Micki’s story, when an idea popped in my head to introduce the couples in a novella and what all went wrong that dreadful night fifteen years ago that brought Brody and Micki to where they were today.

Tell us little about the characters Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance
Brody Stevenson, Jake Callahan and Trevor Winters have been friends since they can remember “The Three Musketteers”, the citizen of Meadow Falls nicknamed them “Three Mischeivousteers” because of their hijinks. Brody has always been in love with Michael Horton since they were young, the town always suspected that one day when they were older they would be married.  Jake Callahan is the no commitment type, smart aleck type. Jaden Kingsley is a take no crap from anyone personality. Trevor Winter and Rayna Baxter are the quiet type of the friends.

What was the hardest part of writing this book?
The hardest part I would say was just putting what was going on in my head to words, being my first time.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?
My favorite part probably was the banter between Brody, Jake & Trevor. I has so much fun with them. Some of their banter came from what I have heard my three adult sons & their friends.
What are your future project(s)?
The present time I am working on Brody and Micki’s story, Brody’s Redemption.

Now an exciting excerpt from Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance!

The band started to play an old Ronnie Milsap song, one of the men in silhouette turned slowly singing What, a, difference you've made in my life What a difference you've made in my life You're my sunshine day and night Oh what a difference you've made in my life ,pointing at Micki while singing.
Micki gasped and giggled, "Brody".
The second man in silhouette turns and starts singing the next few lines, pointing at Jaden with a shitty grin, What a change you have made in my heart What a change you have made in my heart You replaced all the broken parts Oh what a change you have made in my heart
"Oh my god, what a jackass," Jaden laughs.
On the next verse Trevor turns and winks towards Rayna Love to me was just a word in a song That had been way over-used But now I've joined in the singin' 'Cause you've shown me love's true meanin' That's why I want to spread the news.
Micki and Jaden looked at Rayna as tears were raising in her eyes. "See what did I say earlier," Micki said.
Rayna could barely nod, she was in shock as they listened to the special men in their lives serenading them in front of all of Meadow Falls, finish singing together. What a difference you've made in my life, whoa-oh-oh-oh What a difference you've made in my life You're my sunshine day and night Oh what a difference you've made What a difference you've made, in OUR life, they finish with one hand over their hearts and the other pointing at Micki, Jaden and Rayna.

Mystic Cowboy!

Thank goodness, Dr. Madeline Mitchell thought as she hurried into the sterile gown and snapped the shield over her face. Anything to get her away from all those half-hearted well wishers at her farewell party.
“Drugs!” the woman—girl really, probably no more than seventeen—who was sprawled on the stretcher screamed. They hadn’t even made it to a room in the E.R. yet.
At least it’s not a boring night, Madeline thought as she bent to check. The baby was already crowning. The girl screamed again, and another inch of the head emerged. They would barely have time to get to the room. Drugs were out of the question. She was just going to have to tough it out.
Madeline let her training take over. She loved the E.R., loved the unexpected. In fact, right now she was loving the unexpected more than she normally did. It was her last night working before she bailed on Columbus, Ohio, and to bring a new baby into this world as her final act at the hospital seemed fitting. She was doing a last little bit of good.
Madeline followed the stretcher as they raced down the hall, keeping her hand on that little head. You can do it, baby, she thought, almost as much to the girl as to the infant. “I want you to push,” she said, keeping her voice low and steady as the door shut behind them. Then she looked at the nurse for some explanation as to why this girl was in the E.R. and not the maternity ward.
The nurse shrugged. “Her mother said she’d been in pain all afternoon. Thought it was an appendix. When we told her the daughter was in labor, the mother passed out in the waiting room.”
“Where’s the on-call O.B.?”
The nurse rolled her eyes. “Your guess is as good as mine.”
Drugs!” The girl’s voice careened off the walls. The head gained another inch.
“She’s a screamer,” the nurse said under her breath.
The girl was probably in six degrees of shit with her parents right now and was about to have a natural childbirth, whether she wanted one or not. Madeline could see from the terrified look in her eyes that she felt alone. The last thing she needed was a snippy nurse making her feel even smaller.
“I’m right here, honey. You’re not alone,” Madeline said in her most soothing tone as she shot the nurse the look that everyone referred to as the Mitchell sneer. It came in very handy at times like this. The nurse backpedaled and shut the hell up. “You can scream if it helps, okay? But I need you to push.”
The girl nodded and sucked in a huge breath. Madeline barely had the chance to wish for earplugs before she was cradling the newborn baby boy.
Perfect, she thought as she did the quick check. Of course, they’d run tests on him—it sounded like he’d gotten no prenatal care—but he was perfect. The girl, who was now sobbing, had needed Madeline right then more than anyone else in the world, and she’d been there for her.
This is what she lived for.

Mystic Cowboy (Men of the White Sandy Book 1) by Sarah M Anderson

Date of Publication: January 1, 2013

One good man could drive her all kinds of crazy.
Men of the White Sandy, Book 1
Just who does Rebel Runs Fast think he is? Dr. Madeline Mitchell, the new doctor on the White Sandy Lakota Indian Reservation, knows there's a good answer to that question. Somewhere.
Sure, the Lakota medicine man is every cowboy-and-Indian fantasy she ever had, but he sends patients to sweat lodges instead of clinical trials, talks them out of flu vaccines. Even more irritating, he makes her heart race.
Rebel swore off the white man's world—and its women—years ago. Madeline doesn't speak the language, understand the customs, or believe he's anything more than a charlatan. Yet she stays, determined to help his people. And he keeps finding excuses to spend more time at the clinic.
When he discovers her in the throes of dangerous heat stroke, Rebel's efforts to cool her down set fire to a passion neither thought they wanted. But when the people start falling violently ill, the cultural gap stretches the connection between their hearts to the breaking point…
Warning: This book contains smoking-hot skinny dipping, emotional and emotionally satisfying sex, and a shirtless cowboy who is also an Indian.

About Sarah M Anderson

It took a caffeine-fueled car trip with my 92-year-old grandmother and two-year-old son in July of 2007 to awaken my Muse. That story would become my first book as I figured out how, exactly, one writes a novel.
Let's just say the learning curve was steep.
One character led to another. Before long, my characters were in South Dakota, among the Lakota Sioux tribe. Modern-day cowboys who are the Indians - without planning it, I find myself writing about the people and places that held my imagination throughout my childhood.
In 2010, I sold the award-winning Indian Princess to Stacy Boyd of Harlequin Desire. The book was released A Man of His Word in 2011. Since then, I've sold many more books to Harlequin Desire and Samhain! Click here for a printable book list.
A Man of Privilege won the RT Reviewers Choice Best Desire of 2012! I was honored to attend the RT Convention in Kansas City to receive my award in person.
I live in Illinois with my husband, son, and rescue mutts. I am a writer and editor at Mark Twain Media, Inc., an educational publishing company. I am a member of Romance Writers of America and the Chicago-North RWA. When not chasing my son around or tweaking my books, I attempt to read, knit, and complete a home improvement project in my historical 1895 Queen Anne house.

Where did the Naked Cowboys come from

People ask me a lot where I get the ideas for my stories. That’s hard to say, because almost anything can trigger it. I had been writing about cowboys for several years, and living in Texas at the time gave me lots of material for background and settings. I mean, in the small town where I lived, you could practically walk down the sidewalk and take your pick.
But I needed a hook to jump start both the story and the series. I was having coffee with two friends one day and one of my friends said, “Okay, you will never believe what my husband did this time.”
We looked at her expectantly.
“Well. I had my old college roommate visiting. We were watching movies and hubby, who had been out with some of his friend, came home stinking drunk and could hardly find his way to the bedroom.
“I excused myself while I got him into the room, undressed and into bed, then closed the door to go back to the movie. I had barely sat down and started the movie again when bam! The bedroom door flew open and there was Himself stark naked with everything he owns on display, grinning stupidly. Before I could stop him he had taken three steps into the living room and promptly dropped to the floor and passed out.
“So there the two of us were, trying to get this guy into bed and my friend is doing her best not to stare at him. I grabbed a towel and threw it over his business. Then she took his feet and I took his arms and we dragged him into the bedroom. I couldn’t lift him to the bed so I pulled off he blanket, threw it over him, tucked a pillow under his head and we went back to the movie. Which, I have to say, by that time wasn’t nearly as exciting.”
“So what happened the next day?” I asked.
“He laughed like hell and I smacked him a good one.”
I pulled out my cell, asked her to repeat it, and as soon as I got home went to work on Stark Naked, featuring the very naked Matt Stark.”
This is an absolutely true story. Hope this makes you curious enough to read the book…and the series, and wonder who and what else is based on real people.

Sable Hunter paid her dues caring for suburban pets in West Texas. Ready to get back to her first love—large animals—she's excited about moving to Saddle Wells to take over for the retiring veterinarian. With a reputation to build, she can't afford any distractions, and the sizzling heat between her and local rancher Ryan Donovan could seriously mess with her focus.

He can't deny he misses the rush of pro riding—until the sweet new vet in town brings a different kind of excitement and makes him want to sweep her into his bed and his future.

Warning: Contains a woman whose career is taking off, and a man whose career is changing direction faster than a spinning bull. Hang on, ladies, this cowboy's got a free hand and it's about to get wild!
