Book 2 in the No More Secret Series
In the Silence!

Amy Welton has a good life. Her mother and brother are the world to her, as is her best friend—and sister-by-choice—Bella. That’s how she finds herself in the midst of planning a party for two amazing people, and the help she receives comes in the form of one very sexy, dark, alpha male.
Rylee Kane isn’t the kind of guy you’d bring home to your mother. He’s the one who takes a woman to bed for a single purpose, and that ain’t love. But when he’s saddled with beautiful Amy, something happens to him. She’s a woman whom he’d never think of taking to bed, yet, he can’t come up with anything he’d rather do. The stakes rise, and his will is challenged.
He pisses her off all the time. She tests his nerves at every turn. When her feelings morph into something she swore not to let happen, will she stick through the danger to see the end? Or will they be over before they really begin?

Q & A with Ani Bishop about In the Silence!

Tell us about In the Silence.
In The Silence is part of the No More Secrets series and they’re romantic suspense stories. Rylee and Mike opened a security company that deals with a variety of criminals and security issues. There are currently two books out in the series and book three and four are being written. Besides those there will be at least two more in the series and one or two connected to these but not a part of them as a series. Lots of books to write.

What initially inspired you to write In the Silence?
I can’t remember the song that inspired me to write the series, nor the one that actually reflected the books. It’s been years since I started them so it’s hard to remember. I just know I was inspired by Brantley Gilbert the most.

Tell us little about the characters in this book.
Rylee is alpha. Ex-military and a hard man to get to know. He keeps his secrets hidden behind his hard facade. Only his best friend, who’s been there with him through the hardest knows them. So when Mike asks for a favor Rylee can’t say no. He’s protective of the people in his life even if they are brand new in it. He’s skeptic of marriage and many think of him as a playboy.

Amy is a good girl whose love of books brought her through a lot of tough moments in her life like losing her father at a young age. Her best friend is a happy, funny girl that is about to be engaged. Bella just doesn’t know it yet. Amy doesn’t want her heart broken. She’d been there, done that. Now she wants something safe and she realized from the start that Rylee isn’t that. It’s not easy to trust her heart with finding her love because it seems that the choice it made in the past hadn’t been the best.

What was the hardest part of writing this book?
I think the hardest was writing the in-between matter to the book. I’ve written the scenes as they came to me and when it was time to connect it all in one it was hard because all of it needed to make sense and it couldn’t be visible to a reader that right there, in that chapter, I had to add some words.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?
It was the epilogue. Why? Because it’s based on a true story. It’s not what really happened but the peas were actually what got me to write it. I loved having a piece of me in that even though I had been the one to write the whole book. This little detail was what reminded me that this book is my baby.

What are your future project(s)?
I have been writing book three of this series and also the first book in the dragon shifter series. Which will come first, I don’t know. It depends on which speaks the loudest.

Is there anything else you would like to tell the readers about this book/series?

I already said that this series is suspense but it’s more about romance and love than suspense. So even though the genre says it needs to be labeled romantic suspense, I would like to call it romance with only a dash of suspense. Hope you like it if you give these books a try. I had fun writing them and it’s a real honor to have people want to read something I wrote.

First book in the No More Secret series!

Ella loved Braden for the year they’d been together, she'd missed him for the eleven months he’d been gone. She had to admit that her reaction upon seeing him again proved she wouldn’t stop loving him anytime soon.

Braden left Ella for many reasons, but not the ones she thought he had, especially not the lie he'd told her to keep her safe. Would she ever believe him after the way he'd hurt her?
When the truth is revealed, will they embrace their second chance? Or is it too late to reclaim the light they'd found in each other?

Now a sneak peek of book 3 in the No More Secrets series Always You

Mike walked over to where Colin watched his fiancée by the sidelines. He’d never thought he’d feel as jealous as he did right now. The emotion was foreign to him when it came to women. It wasn’t as if he had to think about the life his lovers might have had before he’d come into the picture. He simply hadn’t cared that much about them.

Bella… she was another story. She’d always been everything to him. From the first bump in the local coffee shop when he’d been home from a tour, to the last kiss he’d given her, only a minute ago.

Colin had obviously shared something special with Bella when they were younger, and he didn't seem to be over it. His Bella wasn’t an innocent flower, but that did not mean he wanted to meet the guys she’d been with. Hell no.

Mike stopped beside Colin and turned to see Bella laughing with her head thrown back. She loved this party. And he loved her. The whole reason for this surprise was to show how much she meant to him, and that this was a forever thing between them.

“Whatever your feelings for her are, forget them.” His lips were drawn into a tense smile.
He sensed more than saw Colin look at him. “Who are you to tell me what I should do?” Anger and contempt colored his words.

“She’s happy. With me. You will not try and ruin this with your silly little feelings.” Mike lost the smile. It was hard to pretend everything was fine. Bella wasn’t looking in their direction, and for that he was thankful.

“Why are you so sure she’s happy? I’ve known her my whole life. She may think you’re great for a while. After that little…infatuation passes, I’ll step in, and you’ll be nothing to her. Not even worth a damn memory.”

“That’s right. You’ve known her your whole life. Yet, I’m the one who’s going to marry her. I suggest you stay the fuck away from my fiancée,” he ground out. Every word that had come from his mouth had made him angrier. It was all he could do without throwing a punch.

Mike could see Colin’s jaw work back and forth. The guy couldn’t see he'd lost something that hadn’t been his to lose. From the moment she was made, she had been meant for Mike. Colin had just been a passenger on the road that led her to him.

“Are you threatening a federal agent?”

Mike grunted. “No. I’m threatening a man stupid enough to go after another man’s woman. I don’t care who you are, but if you touch what’s mine, you will regret it.”

“She was mine to touch first,” Colin mused. Maybe he wanted that fist after all.
Mike barely held in his rage. Couldn’t he just admit he’d made a fucking mistake in letting Bella walk away? It was too late to go back now.

“You said it yourself, was. Past, not present. She’s mine, and I will beat the shit out of you, just for fun, if you even try to mess with us.”

Mike turned and walked away before he smashed his sorry ass right there. It was their engagement party. Bella didn't deserve for him to make a spectacle.

But, he suspected, they would have to handle this the old-fashioned way. Soon enough.

Hi! I'm Ani Bishop. I’m a married mother of two who lives in a small town. My life hasn't been easy, but it's been filled with family. Our house had always been filled with laughter and not one moment of peace could be found. But, we’ve never been bored.
Reading has never been a chore for me, it's been a great passion. Writing, however, came afterward. Just a story in my head that needed to be told, and I wrote the first few words. Ever since I started, there was no stopping. Every day, every week, I've worked, and written, and had fun. Because writing is fun, if you love it.

Q & A with Sarah Ballance author
of Dangerous Illusions

Does music play any type of role in your writing?
Yes! The right songs set the mood and the words just fly. The odd thing is the music doesn’t have to be about my characters. It just needs to make me think of my husband, and then the sexiness prevails.

Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your life?
Not usually, at least not specifically. But the best part of every hero is my husband. That allows me to connect and identify with my characters (both the hero and the heroine who falls for him), which honestly REALLY helps me write the book.

What books have influenced your life most?
There’s one book that stands out, and that’s Crime Scene at Cardwell Ranch by B.J. Daniels. Years ago, I’d gotten a new computer with a built-in e-reader and that book was offered for free. I hadn’t read anything but parenting magazines for years, so when I cracked open that delicious romantic suspense I was transfixed. That, more than anything, made me want to write, and writing has absolutely transformed my life.

Are there any new authors that have grasp your interest?
I don’t have as much time to read between deadlines as I’d like, but I will say I’m a huge fan of both Kira Archer and Tawna Fenske. They make me laugh out loud with their romantic comedies.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Here’s a short excerpt from DANGEROUS ILLUSIONS:

A corner of Edward’s mouth quirked humorlessly. “You’re an investigator?”

“I am,” Sophie shot back, bristling under his acrid tone.

“And you have business with me?”

She glanced around. As far as she could tell, they were alone, but that didn’t mean someone didn’t lurk out of sight. She took a step closer and, with her voice low, said, “You of all people should understand why Mr. Steel would bring in an investigator.”

She’d pushed into his space, but he didn’t give an inch. Too late, she realized just how close she’d gotten. His clean, soapy scent was like a drug. Heat emanated from his form, leaving her flushed despite the chill of the air conditioner. The weight of his attention was crushing. Primal. Something animalistic stirred in his eyes.

“Is that a threat, Ms. Sophie Garza?” The words left his lips with practiced ease, but that didn’t mean anything. Not for a lawyer.

She met his punishing stare, determined not to back down. If he wanted a pissing contest, he’d better be prepared to lose. She’d been up against worse and won.

He was the first to break eye contact. His gaze flickered to her lips, dwelling there. The barest hint of amusement softened his features, and in that moment, she saw a hint of the man beneath the demeanor.

“I suppose, Mr. Long, that depends on whether or not you feel threatened.” She didn’t bother to quash the hint of sarcasm that wedged itself in her voice.

Her words drew his attention. He straightened, and rather than take a step back, he moved toward her, causing her an involuntary retreat. The predatory gleam in his eyes revealed nothing, but the hint of a smile teasing his lips spoke far more than words ever could.

Threatened, hell. He was toying with her.

His dark gaze left her swimming in uncharted waters, her body humming with a frightfully unfamiliar awareness. Startled, she swallowed. Twenty-nine years old, and never before had she experienced such a visceral response to anyone—a fact that could only mean one thing.

Guilty or innocent, Edward Long was a dangerous man.

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
I never thought I’d be in this place. Published books were a dream I never had, but I still look at my list of available works and have to blink myself down. It’s amazing. But even more than that are the notes from readers. It may seem like a small thing, but your emails and messages mean the world to me and I answer every one. Knowing you connect with my characters so deeply just blows me away, and I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to let me know how they’ve affected you. Thank you for your love.

How can readers discover more about you and your work?

Dangerous Illusions (Steel Hawk Book 3) by Sarah Ballance

Date of Publication: August 16, 2016

Keep your lovers close, your enemies closer. Especially if they're one and the same.

Steel Hawk, Book 3

With Steel Hawk still reeling from explosions at Zarrenburg Castle and at its own headquarters, company lawyer Edward Long's legendary stoicism has been severely tested. It's clearly an inside job, and no one is deeper inside than Edward—which leaves him squarely in the center of a frame.

Someone is using him to bring down the company he loves. Worse, the PI that Adam Hawk sends to investigate…there's something off about her. And something that seriously turns him on.

Operating under an assumed name, Sophie Hawk aims to dig deeper into the company's systems than any other investigator would dare. Especially with the prime suspect's hot-chocolate gaze tracking her every move.
As their dueling intellects strike sparks, the rising heat threatens the trip wires Edward has set up around his heart—and the secret that ties him to a man who'll stop at nothing to claim his right to rule the house of Zarrenburg. Or, if he can't have it, destroy it—and everyone connected to it.

Warning: Contains agonizingly sweet kisses, dirty thoughts, dirtier talk, mutual trust stretched to the limit, and criminal abuse of a thousand-dollar suit jacket.

About Sarah Ballance

Sarah and her husband of what he calls "many long, long years" live on the mid-Atlantic coast with their six young children, all of whom are perfectly adorable when they're asleep. She never dreamed of becoming an author, but as a homeschooling mom, she often jokes she writes fiction because if she wants anyone to listen to her, she has to make them up. (As it turns out, her characters aren't much better than the kids). When not buried under piles of laundry, she may be found adrift in the Atlantic (preferably on a boat) or seeking that ever-elusive perfect writing spot where not even the kids can find her.
She loves creating unforgettable stories while putting her characters through an unkind amount of torture—a hobby that has nothing to do with living with six children. (Really.) Though she adores sexy contemporary romance, Sarah writes in many genres including historical and ghostly supernatural romance and romantic suspense. Her ever-growing roster of releases may be found on Amazon , Barnes & Noble, Kobo, iBooks, Google Books, and ENTANGLED PUBLISHING.

The Prisoner of Silverwood Castle (Darke of Night Book 2) by Marie Treanor

Date of Publication: August 16, 2016

Dead men don't tell tales. They wail them from the top of the tallest tower.
Darke of Night, Book 2
Lady Guinevere (Guin) Harvey would much rather be writing gothic tales of intrigue and adventure than dancing attendance on her sister, the newly married Duchess of Silberwald. Until they arrive at Silberwald Castle, a place of enchanting perfection—and gothic shadows.
Ghostly groans and clanking chains lead Guin through ancient, misshapen passages to one of the castle's many mysteries: a cell where the odd but charming Kasimir is kept chained like an animal. He could be a figment of her vivid dreams, the ghost of a dead, mad prince, or just a political prisoner no one wants to talk about.
Desperate to discover what beast is howling such soul-chilling cries, Guin summons the medium Barbara Darke. But by the time Barbara arrives, Guin can no longer distinguish dream from reality, friend from enemy. Even with all Barbara's unique talents, they have to face new dangers before they finally discover the terrifying truth of Silberwald Castle.
Warning: Gives new meaning to falling madly in love…
