When Nora leaves her job as a school teacher to open a Jane Austen Bed and Breakfast with her friends—and finally get a chance to write her novel—she’s relieved to escape the escalating threats of violence from an unknown student stalker, and more than a little interested in the Navy SEAL who’s after her heart. But when trouble starts stalking her at Chance Creek, Nora begins to wonder if she’s left her past behind after all.

Can Clay and Nora find a way to be together when everything is trying to tear them apart?

Wow Cora Seton does it again!! There is a reason Cora’s fans wait patiently for one of her new as soon as the finish the current new release, cause she doesn’t disappoint!! A SEAL’s Vow is the second book in The SEAL’s of Chance Creek where you get a little of today & yesterday. Clay & his friends, former SEAL’s are building a sustainable community, Nora & her friends are living the Jane Austen life all at Westfield while taping a reality TV show. Clay sure had his work cut out with trying get Nora to marry him with 40 days, she wanted a longer to get to know him, but Clay had to make her fall in love with him & marry him within a little over a month. Not only does Clay have to find a way to get Nora to marry him while cameras follow them everywhere, he also has to struggle with his father showing up unexpectedly, a crazy stalker after Nora. This book had laughs, great small community feel, a glance at characters from other Chance Creek series, closeness friendships, a little mystery & suspense-especially the scene with Nora & her stalker which was chilling- & few tears, what else could you ask in a great romance oh yea forgot about those SEXY SEALs. I recommend you pick up a copy of A SEAL’s Vow & find out why Cora’s fans go crazy when she releases a new book, like this fan & reader!!

A gift that I received and now I can review it.

This is the 1st book by Cora Seton that I had the pleasure of reading, and dang it, it was a great story great plot and loved to see Nora and Clay work on their dreams and on their relationship. The friendships in the story are great, and like some of them I must say I do not like these reality shows either, but it added a nice dimension to the story.

EXCERPT - The Decoy Bride

Her scream resonated in the expanse of the forest. Had he heard it or merely imagined Violet’s cry as the memory of Myrtle’s shout for help? He picked up his pace, hastily making his way through the path. Several yards further he spotted the carriage overturned on its side.
Dismounting from his horse he stepped closer, examining the scene, making sure it was not a trap before further pursuing Violet. He pulled the metal handle for the door, the hinges squeaked as he poked his head inside. The carriage remained empty but a trace of blood had coated the wall that had been nestled against the grass.
“She’s not here,” he said to himself. As he walked around the carriage, Francis bent down to examine the grass. A faint trail of blood had dripped against the grass and dirt.
Grabbing the reigns of his horse, he wandered due north following the trail. Where had Violet gone? Had she run off, injured and trying to escape? He hoped she was okay and just hiding until she felt safe enough to return back home. After the wedding, once noon had passed and Myrtle had wed, Violet would be able to travel without the fear of attack.

When you start a book, do you already have the whole story in your head or is it built progressively?
Of course I have the story in my head. Anyone who hasn’t planned the story before they start writing is an amateur, and not taking this seriously. Plans change as you go along, but you’d better have a very good sense of where you’re going, how you’re going to get your effects, cliffhangers etc. It’s about delivering something to the reader, not just indulging your own whims.

When and why did you begin writing?
I’ve always written, ever since school. It never occurred to me not to.

When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I was a journalist for years before I wrote a book, so as soon as I started getting paid for that I was a writer. Stephen King says that you can call yourself a writer if you publish a story and get paid for it, and you use that money to pay a bill. That sounds about to right to me.

Mitch Mitchell needs a vacation, and he is determined to make the most of his trip to the Mediterranean island of Gozo. Death never takes a break however, and at the behest of fellow doctor Bob Southern, Mitch soon finds himself investigating the demise of a young, gay lance corporal. The police have ruled it a suicide, but the young man's boyfriend claims it was murder. Suspecting an official cover-up of a queer scandal, Mitch gets to work on an investigation that leads him into a labyrinth of lies, false identities and secret sex.

With tension, humor and plenty of Mitch Mitchell's exuberant sexual encounters, The Sun Goes Down cranks up the Mediterranean heat for one of his most baffling and dangerous cases.

Sandra Moyer’s preschool is struggling, so when her sister suggests allowing a super-famous actor to research his latest role there, she reluctantly agrees. Except the actor turns out to be Ben Capshaw—a playboy who’s never serious, always joking around, and who knows zero about kids or being a parent. Case in point: his involvement in the untimely death of the preschool’s class pet…

Ben is enjoying teaching more than he thought he would, but that doesn’t mean he’s looking for a permanent position. Sure, he’s ready for more serious movie roles and less goofing off, but the buttoned-up, beautiful Sandra and her young daughter are more than he bargained for. Plus, Sandra still won’t trust him—what if it’s all an act, research for the role? As the lines between make-believe and reality blur, Ben will have to decide if love is worth casting aside the role of his life for a new role…that could last a lifetime.

Previously released as The Role of a Lifetime - (May 2008) and has been enhanced with new material

Review:                           4 1/2 Stars

What a refreshing, fun, clean  read Fake to Forever was, it had me giggling through the whole book. I loved the banter between Ben & Sandra, you could just feel the attraction they were both fighting for each other, more with Sandra with her bad relationship with her ex, who was an actor, which left a bad taste in her mouth when it became to other gorgeous actors.  I just fell in love with Sandra’s little girl Hannah, she was so adorable, any man could fall in love with this little girl, well all except her own father. If you are looking for a great beach read or vacation read I recommend you pick up a copy of Fake to Forever & find out why Jennifer Shirk has gained a new reader.

She’s not going to open her heart to a guy who could disappear at the drop of a…well, she’d rather not finish that thought.

She needs to leave complicated alone, but every time she sees Jason, something tells her it’s her who might fall…

Review:

A normal love story, boy meets girl, Family involved for Jason has a sister and nephew he cares for, and getting involved romantically is not in the books for him.
Miriam tries to avoid entanglement with men like Jason, the pain she suffered is deep, but Cupid has other thoughts. My favorite part in the entire book, was when Miriam is giving him lessons on how to be more sophisticated and she develops a case of the hiccups, and not it begins, finding a cure to stop them. I never laughed so much when reading a book as I did here.
The book is a great book, a great story.

Review:                           5 Stars

Texas Ranger Bryce Johnson. Kylie Scott, two great characters. Bryce promised Kylie he would take care of her, protect her. And dang it if he did not.
The book had a great story line, fast paced to the point that I could not put it down, because I needed to know what would happen. Lots of action for both of them as Kylie tries to stay alive and protect her friends from her ex husband, but there are curves in the book that can throw you for a loop. All in all I loved the book.

A night that would send Xander away to prison for life.

Review:                         5 stars

I was not sure what to expect from this book and from the author BT Urruela, specially on his first solo book.
So what to do, well obviously read the book first. Oh boy was I in for a very interesting trip, the story the characters that were created, were absolutely so real. I found it hard to put the book down, Xander Evans was so different from other characters I have read about, yet what he had gone through from childhood to adulthood would have killed a weaker man, Paige Watson her Father Jack and her Mother Teresa and Caleb her brother were like any Family that one sees or meets in real life.
This is a story of a man who thinks he is not worthy of anyone, until he meets Paige and now all bets are off. Will he prove to her that he is worthy of her, will anything stand in their way.
Several things did take me by surprise, things I did not event hink about, but they were well done.
And Xander's time in jail, was surreal, not that I have been in his shoes and never want to, the Author did manage to portray it well.
Paige's friends Brandy Ethan and so many others including the ex boyfriend Cole, were like any other you would meet throughout your life.
Ah but the turns and twist The Author managed to write about were totally engaging and I would bet could happen in real life.
So BT Urruela I must thank you for weaving a story that engaged and entertained me as I read your book. Well done Sir!

Julie was on an adventure. But when she found herself alone and pregnant in a foreign country, she needed to make some hard decisions.

Based on the true story of my parents' love, this was the story that inspired me to start writing novels.

Review:                              5 Stars

Am trying to find words to describe this book and how it made me feel. This is the story of Julie, Kirsten and Paul. This truly is unlike any story I have read before. A gentle story spanning decades as told by Julie. Her adventures and her love took me down a gentle flowing river, through her memories and then also through her daughter now a grown woman herself.
Her life trip took us from the States to Europe and back to the states, the ending was as sweet as a summer peach and made me glad to have read the book.
